Through Northern Arizona University’s Interns-to-Scholars program, I discovered a wonderful opportunity to create a digital web exhibit for the artist Gino Parin. Working in collaboration with the Martin-Springer Institute under the guidance of Björn Krondorfer and Alexandra Carpino, I was tasked with translating the 2023 Gino Parin exhibit held at NAU’s Clara M. Lovett Art Museum into an online experience. Working with Jocelyn Dolezal, we collaboratively used visual and typographic elements from the original exhibition, expanding the imagery and copy for use on a digital platform. We had the pleasure of working over a semester on this project, presenting it at NAU’s Undergraduate Symposium in Spring of 2024. The site is live at ginoparin.org, bringing in over 60 monthly visitors from around the world to see the complicated and fascinating life of this mid-20th century artist.
